In May of 2004, we purchased a 1983 Freedom 21 sailboat. We named it (her?) Harrison. The Freedom 21 is a modern take on a classic design. Called a "cat boat", it was modeled after fishing vessels designed on the east coast in the late 1800s. The main characteristic of a cat boat is the mast set way forward toward the bow. This setup was created so the boat only required a main sail. This simplifies rigging and trimming. Argueably a perfect boat for a beginner. To Do
