Welcome to the Freedom 21 Notes site
This site is for Freedom 21 owners and sailors. The Freedom 21 sailboat was designed by Garry Hoyt for Freedom Yachts in the early 80's. At least a couple hundred were built by TPI (Tillotson Pearson, the JBoat manufacturer) in the 1980's. It is still manufactured in England, and still much loved here in the States. It is not a common sailboat, in any sense of the word. It is designed to be fun to sail, easy enough for a novice and challenging enough for an experienced sailor, an unusual combination.
Other Freedom web sitesI pulled the Freedom UK site as it got shut down (sigh). They were never very computerized to begin with (contact page was a 404). Pity, as they had an interesting keel design. Haarstick does an excellent job on Freedoms and other boats, check with Gordie Brown there (no I don't get commissions, etc). If you have a web site on your Freedom 21, let me know and I will post a link. |
